TRAINER TODD FINCHER'S RUNAWAY GHOST WON THE $800,000 DERBY:  JOEL MARR CONDITIONED FILLY BLAMED WON THE $200,000 OAKS.

BOTH RUNAWAY GHOST AND BLAMED HAVE NEW MEXICO CONNECTIONS, OWNERS MR. JOE PEACOCK AND CLEBER J. MASSEY RESPECTIVELY. DECISIONS WILL BE MADE WHETHER TO RUN BLAMED IN THE KENTUCKY OAKS SET FOR MAY, 2018 AND RUNAWAY GHOST IN THE KENTUCKY DERBY, THE FIRST SATURDAY IN MAY, 2018. NOTES FOR HORSEMEN:OVER THIS PAST WEEKEND, (MARCH 4) THE NMHA BROUGHT IN STEVE WOODS, A TRACK CONSULTANT OF LONG STANDING (SANTA ANITA, DEL MAR ETC.) TO DO A REVIEW OF THE RACETRACK AT SUNLAND PARK.
